At its heart, The Web of Time is a story about the power of voice—human and divine—to shape worlds, bridge divides, and inspire change. This belief is at the core of NaTakallam, an award-winning social enterprise that provides refugees and displaced individuals with opportunities to use their linguistic and cultural skills to earn a livelihood through language tutoring, translation, and cultural exchange programs.

NaTakallam provides its tutors and translators with the training and mentorship needed to perform these services, creating a pathway to sustainable income amidst conflict as well as during or after displacement and in the early stages of resettlement.

To date, NaTakallam has enabled displaced, conflict-affected and individuals from the Global Majority to self-generate more than US $3,800,000 in income. NaTakallam’s 500+ translators and tutors have worked with 16,000+ individual users in 100+ countries, as well as 300+ companies, organizations, and universities.
