LIVE Writing Workshop at Inkwell

Were you ever part of a writing workshop course in college? Well, if you miss that experience, or if you’ve never had the absolute pleasure of having that experience, welcome! I am so excited to offer you the opportunity to join my live writing workshop!

If you are ready to embark on the journey of your next draft (novel/novella manuscript, memoir, creative nonfiction, short stories, essays, screenplay or script, children’s, flash, poetry), and you’re looking for an enriching experience while finishing your book, this is your community.

From this workshop, you can expect:

Professional Editing & Feedback

Meet your instructor, me! I have been dreaming of this workshop for quite some time. With 12+ years experience as a professional writer and editor in the publishing industry, you’re investing in not only valuable insights into your creative writing but your future as an author.

Group Workshopping

The group workshop dynamic is a magical communal experience unlike anything else for a writer. Each week, the group will prepare to focus on one member’s manuscript, with everyone lending their own editorial perspective. By exploring each other’s work, you’ll be able to find new depths in your own.

Curated Lessons

Each week, the group will be given a curated workshop, designed specifically to fit the needs and wants of the group. Topics can include everything from character development to executing dialogue to story structure to managing the emotional journey of writing a book. This group is meant to be an incubator for its members, so our lessons will be designed as needed.

A Path to Publishing

Whether you aspire to score a literary agent, go indie, or self-publish, this workshop will give you all the knowledge and tools you need to embark on your own publishing path with confidence.

“Amanda is the best coach in the game.

Highly regarded in the literary world—she's an incredible writer, Amanda knows craft and the industry. More than that, she cares about your work and will work hard to help you achieve your goals. From our first meeting, she helped me gain a clearer understanding of what story I wanted to tell and how best to tell it. Amanda challenged me, pushed me to be the best writer I can be, and cheered me on. She isn't a yes woman. Amanda knows what you're capable of, and through various assignments, tough questions, and weekly meetings, she's there to help you along the writing journey. I don't think I could’ve finished my first book without Amanda's guidance, and investing in her is the best investment I've made!”

-Katherine Mansfield, author of Original Works by Katharine Hughes

“Amanda is so good at what she does. I was not a writer before working with her, but somehow she was able to inspire and help me take my one page idea into a 60+ page children’s chapter book. She navigated me through the literary world and really set me up for success.”

-Leanne Glace, author of The Day the Earth Went Missing

We get started at the end of March. Join this eclectic group of creatives for the best time you’ve ever had while writing!
